Parking in Sigean
Street parking is free of charge in Sigean. You have 3 options:
– on the main street, parking duration is limited on the blue spots, unlimited after 18:00. White spots are unlimited all the time. Might be hard to find a spot at the busy season.
– The city office square (and the squares accessible from within that space) is the most easy: 50 meters from Abitarela guesthouse by the small streets. This parking is under monitoring. CAUTION: there are markets on Tuesdays and Fridays and cars must be removed at 6:00 AM those days.
– For the adventurers who don”t mind driving in the medieval streets, passing in front of Abitarela guesthouse to drop your luggages before continuing straight to the bottom parking is a good option too.
Charging electric cars in Sigean
There are 2 parking spots available nearby the Abitarela guesthouse, located “Place du Vieux Sigean”.
There are also 2 parking spots further down in the village, located “Place de l’Octroi”.
The charging network Reveo is made available by Occitanie region and offers domestic, Type 2 and Type 3 plugs.
By train
The nearest train station is “Gare de Port-la-Nouvelle”. From this station, the bus will drive you to Sigean for 1€ to 2€. Taxi for 15€.
The nearest main train station is “Gare de Narbonne”. From this station, the bus will drive you to Sigean for 2€, or taxi for about 40€.
By Bus
You can reach Sigean by bus. For the last mile, we recommend to use the tool provided by citibus.fr by setting “Votre point d’arrivée” to “SIGEAN LA VILLE”. When you arrive, head for the “café de Paris” on the main avenue and take the facing street “Rue Nationale”. We are the large stone-built house at the next corner “rue du commerce” / “rue Nationale”.
